Hi, I'm Francia

I'm a 200 hr Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Teacher and 200 hr Advanced Ashtanga  Yoga Practitioner.  But the most important credential I own is having experienced the transformative healing power of yoga, especially during my recovery from depression.   I have been practicing since 2000 and teaching since 2007.  I continue to expand my knowledge by exploring various yoga disciplines and have earned another 200 hr certification with Prison Yoga Project focusing on trauma-informed, mindfulness YTT.

I'm a dedicated member of the Still Water Sangha community, and the Dhamma Pubbananda community and have sat two immersive 10-day Vipassana meditation courses.  I'm a plant-based nutrition specialist, and a Level II Reiki practitioner.

My passion for yoga stems from the deepest gratitude for yoga's self-healing qualities: a stabilizing mental attitude and nurturing a continuous and deepening connection to a greater power. Beyond a way to maintain a strong, healthy body and mind, yoga provides a connection to source that guides my spiritual journey.

Yoga emphasizes the rippling effect of personal healing onto our communities, because when we heal ourselves, we help heal our loved ones and everyone we come in contact with by shining a light for those who may be lost in the dark. Yoga was for me that light, my loving husband held the lamp and refused to let me blow it out, for this, I am eternally grateful to both him and this ancient practice.

This is why I feel an obligation to become the best possible version of myself and introduce or help guide others on this continued path of awakening, ecstatic love and "Ananda" (bliss)

I can't wait to see you in the zoom Shala and witness as you grow and bloom into the best version of yourself!
